This Wednesday evening study group meets monthly. It is a participant customized course reviewing the current status of the esthetic and adhesive restorative treatments available today. Discussion will cover most phases of direct and indirect resin systems, resin bonding, and porcelain inlays, onlays, and veneers. This is an opportunity to address your specific practice needs as topics will be defined by the audience.

This presentation is a one-day, seven-hour lecture course reviewing the newest in esthetic and adhesive tooth-colored restorations. It covers resin systems, resin bonding, and selecting restorative materials. It is directed toward the practicing dentist who desires a quick review of adhesive tooth-colored restorations in the practice of esthetic dentistry. The presentation answers most of the questions asked by today’s restorative dentists. Dr. Albers' text, Tooth-Colored Restoratives, is available for purchase to accompany the course.Program #L1

* Mastering Direct Restorations - 4 Days- Dr Albers

This course combines lecture, treatment demonstration, and laboratory exercises to sharpen clinicians' skills in the use of direct esthetic systems. The course covers tooth-colored materials, polymerization technologies, bonding technologies, bleaching of natural teeth, preparation designs, placement procedures, finishing procedures, maintenance procedures, and the use of color and contour. Demonstrations and hands on workshops allow the participants to acquire the skills covered in the discussions and lectures. The result is a rapid and profound learning experience.

On day one, Dr. Albers will demonstrate how material properties relate to handling and outcome, as well as show proper technique in digital photography. Participants will then have the opportunity to experience changes in depth of cure based on material and method. The following three days include demonstration of different techniques on patients-to complement the day's lecture material-with follow-up laboratory time during which participants will practice the techniques shown.

Watch Patient Care - Watch Dr. Albers treat patients in his private office: available by appointment, contact his office at 707-575-1190. The introductory fee is $795 per dentist per day, one-on-one. (Usual fee is $950)

Provide Patient Care- Treat your patient in Dr. Albers office, under his supervision: available by appointment, contact his office at 707-575-1190. Patient pays you for treatment fees. Introductory fee is $950 per half day plus supplies. (Usually fee is $1650 per half day plus supplies).

Visiting Your Office- A customized tutorial with Dr. Albers in your private office or other location: available on request and scheduled on a time-available basis; contact his office at 707-575-1190. Fees are determined by program content and distance traveled. Introductory fee is $2495 per day plus travel time and expenses. Patients pay you treatment fees. Usually fee is $3500 per half day plus supplies).

       The credibility of dental educators is extremely important. In recent years this has been very problematic for the profession since manufacturers have become involved with a larger number of courses. By its very nature, manufacturer involvement represents a potential conflict of interest.
       Dr. Albers does not lecture for manufacturers nor does he accept compensation from the sale of any product. However, he receives product samples for evaluation from almost every manufacturer. In addition, almost all dental manufacturers have donated dental materials to the dental schools at which he teaches, for use in his postgraduate courses. Dr. Albers selects these materials to represent all manufacturers equally. No emphasis is given to any company in any course.
